Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering conducts a Two-Days Workshop on Big Data Analytics

A Workshop on "Big Data Analytics using Hadoop" was conducted by the Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering. The Resource Person for the workshop was Prof. Manjunath Mulimani, Assistant Professor, MIT, Manipal.
Prof. Mulimani gave an introduction to Big Data Analytics and conducted hands-on session on “MapReduce Programming for Big Data Analytics”. He also discussed the topics such as application of big data, future scope of big data, MapReduce and Data Transformation, MapReduce Programming Model, Workflow of MapReduce, Running MapReduce Job and Hadoop versions.
Students of Final Year Computer Science & Engineering actively participated in the workshop.
