Faculty of the Dept of ISE Completes a Course on Robotic Process Automation (RPA)

Dr. Chatrapathy K., Prof., Dept. of Information Science & Engineering has completed a 5-day course on emerging area ‘Robotic Process Automation (RPA)’. The course was organised by Technology Development Centre, MSME – Agra.
Following topics were covered along with installation and hands on training on UI Path RPA Software.
• Launching and using various applications including
o Opening emails and attachments
o Logging into applications
o Moving files and folders
• Integrating with enterprise
tools by
o Connecting to system APIs
o Reading and writing to databases
• Augmenting data by
o Scraping data from the web including social media
• Data processing
o Following logical rules such as “if/then” rules
o Making calculations
o Extracting data from documents
o Inputting data to forms
o Extracting and reformatting data into reports or dashboards
o Merging data from multiple sources
