Atmanirbhar Project (Make In India) at Sahyadri – Fuel Nozzle Assembly

The Dept. of Mechanical Engineering and Caliper Engineering & Lab Pvt. Ltd, In-house Industry at Sahyadri are awarded with several Atmanirbhar (Make In India) projects.
In the journey to self-reliance, Sahyadri is leading the Dakshina Kannada Region by actively engaging with Defence and Nuclear sectors in many projects. Students of Mechanical Engineering at Sahyadri will have great time in being part of this epitome of learning and participating in the nation's prestigious projects.
Bharat Earth Movers Ltd, Mysore who are supplying Defence vehicles to carry arms and ammunitions in the battle field has given the responsibility of indigenously developing "Fuel Nozzle Assembly" for their war front Defence vehicle, TATRA. These are presently imported from Europe. Complete product right from designing to manufacturing will be carried out at Sahyadri in collaboration with faculty, students and industry experts.
About Fuel Nozzle Assembly:
The objective of Fuel Nozzle Assembly is to atomize and vaporize the fuel for efficient combustion in the engine. This pressure-atomizing nozzle assembly is, in effect, a nozzle within a nozzle.
