Faculty, Dept. of CSE is invited as Resource Person for a Webinar on “How to Engage High Impact Online Session Securely”

Dr. Ananth Prabhu G., Professor, Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering was invited as Resource Person to a Webinar on “How to Engage High Impact Online Session Securely”, as part of 4-Day Karnataka State Online Teachers’ Training Programme.
The Webinar which was in Kannada was conducted in association with CDAC, ISEA (Information Security Education and Awareness), Cyber Safe Girl and DSERT Karnataka. The primary focus was on the teachers from remote villages and towns having limited resources.
Dr. Ananth with his simple and lucid explanation in Kannada language discussed about the various devices, equipment and software to be used to make online teaching truly effective and impactful. He suggested the use of platforms like Jio Meet and Google Meet instead of Zoom meetings.
Further, Dr. Ananth shared some excellent tips for awesome classes and also elucidated the best use of Google classrooms, Moodle and other Learning Management systems. The concept of Flipped classrooms and taking feedback was discussed.
Dr. Ananth deliberately induced some games in between which made the session more interesting and interactive. During the Q/A session, his answers to the queries raised, cleared the doubts of every participant explicitly.
Around 1,500 teachers attended the live Webinar and appreciated the initiative taken towards capacity building.
