Dr. Ananth Prabhu G., Professor, Computer Science & Engineering was invited as Resource Person for a Webinar on ‘'New Gen Cyber Crimes” on 8 Oct’2020.
October is observed as National Cyber Security Awareness Month and in order to spread the word, Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) organized the said Webinar.
Dr. Ananth Prabhu, who is a Cyber Security Expert and whose current mission is Cyber Safe India highlighted about the 15 New Generation crimes viz. Fake Profiles and Deep Fakes, Ransomware Attack, IOT, Phishing, Tab Napping, Smishing etc. Besides, tips on how to stay cyber safe and ensure responsible browsing was also discussed.
More than 300 participants from all over the country participated. The Webinar concluded with an exhaustive Q&A session.
