MBAs undergo a session on "Sahyadri Societal Connect Programme" and "Academic Research and Publications"

In order to provide opportunities to MBAs for their holistic development and enable them to be Management Professionals with societal impact, Dr. Ravindra R, Kaikini, Professor, Dept. of Business Administration under the instructions of Dr. Vishal Samartha, Director-MBA Program addressed the first year MBA students on "Sahyadri Societal Connect Programme" to be driven by the students. He shared the Objectives of the initiative, Learning outcomes, Guiding principles and the List of community engagement activities we could adopt from. Students were informed that they will be carrying out these community engagement activities with their mentors in groups, engage with the society, identify the concerns, come up with alternatives and also build reports on their learning outcomes.
In the next part of the session, Dr. Kaikini spoke on the importance of research mindset and publication of research work in order to stand unique out of many graduating MBAs. He stimulated students to present research papers in conferences and also publish them in reputed journals with the help of their mentors. He further encouraged them by saying that it is a proud moment to feature on "Sahyadri Buzz" for their achievements when research articles of students are being published.
