First Year MBAs along with Faculty attend 'Budget Town Hall' organized by Union Bank Regional Office, Mangaluru

A total of 8 First year MBA students along with two faculty members - Prof. Ramesh K G, Dean-Strategic Planning and Prof. Suchithra, Dept. of Business Administration, attended the 'Budget Town Hall' organized by Union Bank Regional Office at Mangaluru on 16th March, 2022. The session was inaugurated by Shri. M Ravindra Babu, Field General Manager, FMG Office Mangaluru, which was presided by Shri. Mahesha J Regional Head, Union Bank of India, Mangaluru Region.
CA S S Nayak, MSME & Tax Expert; CA D B Mehta, Economic Expert; CA K Gururaja Acharya, Banking & Tax Expert; Dr. A P Achar, CEO-ATAL Incubation Centre, NITTE; Shri. K S Balachandra Rao, Banking Expert; Shri. Sanooru Narasimha Kamath, Director, KMF, DKMUL, Mangaluru, were the experts in the panel.
Experts shared their views and predictions on the Union and State Budget 2022-23. The session was attended by first year MBA students - Shreyas B, Gaganashree, Sharanya A Rai and Thripthi B from Section A; Femla Herel Dsouza and Sanjay S Bhat from Section B and Yashika K and Vishnu Prasanna G from Section C.
During the session students asked questions with the experts and clarified their doubts about the budget. Gaganashree asked - "What is the opinion of the Panel about the disinvestment target that the Govt. had in the previous budget which the Govt. is not able to achieve", and Vishnu Prasanna asked - "Why is Government focusing on taxing crypto currency income". The expert panel complimented Sahyadri MBA students for their excellent participation.
