Bridge Course: MBA Academic Year 2021-22<em><strong>Day Two (5th Jan, 2022)</strong></em>

The first session of day two was addressed by Dr. Preethi Keerthi Dsouza who completed her M. Com, MBA, PGDMM, PhD and is working as an Assistant Professor, Dept. of Commerce, Mangalore University. She started the session by quoting APJ Abdul Kalam’s words - “Aiming Low Is a Crime”. She stressed on Never Give Up and asked students to accept whatever life throws at them and never quit. The session emphasised on Self-Acceptance, Self-Happiness, Team effort and a healthy competition among one another.
The second session was facilitated by Prof. Sushma V, Dept. of Business Administration on the topic – “Life Skills for Employability”. She shared anecdotes of her life, bringing up Resilience as a Life Skill. She spoke on the various Life Skills under 4 H – Head, Heart, Hand and Health and emphasized on the Skills that students should develop during the MBA course. She also gave tips on improving English pronunciation and urged students to have a Youtube Channel of their own as there is huge demand for Content creation.
The Resource Person for the last session was Dr. Shruthakeerthiraja S B. He has completed M.Sc., M Phil., PGDHE, Ph.D. and is currently working as freelancer, teaching biology for competitive exams in many prestigious institutions in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Mysore districts. He spoke on the topic - “Mind Stress and Art” and mentioned that every step of life should be an art. He said humans are the only species who cannot handle stress and gave examples from nature that helps to manage stress. He quoted examples from bio-diversity who successfully managed stress and said it was an art of adjusting to nature.
