ISE Department organizes a Webinar on “Data Collection Routing Protocols in Wireless Sensor Networks & IOT”

Dept. of Information Science & Engineering in association with IEEE Student Branch- SCEM, STAISE and Sahyadri-IIC organized a Webinar on “Data Collection Routing Protocols in Wireless Sensor Networks &IOT” on 18th Jan, 2022, coordinated by faculty members – Prof. Shwetha S Shetty and Prof. Kranthikumar Bukya. The resource person for the event was Dr. Koppala Guravaiah, Assistant Professor, IIIT, Kottayam. Dr. Koppala Guravaiah spoke about the fundamental concepts of WSN, RFDMRP and Applications of IOT and its importance in day to day activities. He also discussed the various aspects on how the real time projects can be done using routers and zigbee. Further, he also mentioned about various challenges in development of IOT projects quoting real time examples. At the end of the session, he answered the participants’ queries about Communication Architecture with vehicle monitoring system. A total of 100 students participated in the event.
