CSE (Data Science) Faculty Filed an International Patent in the Republic of South Africa

Dr. Navaneeth Bhaskar, Associate Professor and Academic Coordinator, Dept. of CSE (Data Science) filed an International patent in the Republic of South Africa, under the Patents Act, 1978, with the official application number 2023/07817. The title of the invention is “Sensing system, method and device for non-invasively detecting chronic kidney disease from exhaled breath”. The invention describes a method and apparatus for non-invasively detecting chronic kidney disease by measuring the concentrations of ammonia gas in the exhaled breath. Kidney disease can be quickly and accurately detected non-invasively with the help of the proposed approach. Due to the simplicity and affordability of the sample extraction process, people can have regular screenings for kidney disease.
